Eventing
NSW is a discipline Council affiliated with the Equestrian Federation
of Australia through the NSW branch, EFA (NSW) Inc.
It is charged with the administration of Eventing for New South Wales.
This is effected by a committee of volunteers
interested in the sport who are elected annually in October.
In
addition, the committee includes a representative from each of its constituent
Clubs. These clubs are all individually incorporated and run events (CCI,
CCN, CIC and CNC) and training for their members and for members of
the EFA. Entry forms and schedules for these events are provided to members
in Eventing NSW bimonthly communication, The Eventer.
Eventing NSW is responsible for training officials such as:
Course Designers - who are accredited to build cross country
obstacles within the rules,
Technical Delegates - who are responsible for the safe running
of events on behalf of the EFA,
Eventing Stewards - who liaise with the judges and competitors
in the fair running of the event.
The clubs use dressage judges who have bene trained through
Dressage NSW, which Council is responsible for their accreditation and
showjumping Course Builders and Judges who
are training by Showjumping NSW.
The Clubs, together with the appointed Technical Delegate, are responsible
for the training of cross country judges, timers and other officials
that ensure that the event is run smoothly and efficiently.
