SELECTION CRITERIA FOR NSW INSTITUTE OF SPORT ELITE EVENTING SQUAD

The main criteria are:

• membership of the National Longlist, or

• performance in Three Day Events over the previous 12 months.
  

• performance in One Day Events may be considered but is given much less weighting.
  

• except in exceptional circumstances, riders lose eligibility for the squad if they had not completed a 3DE in the previous 12 months or if there was a significant soundness problem.

All riders have the opportunity to query their seeding, or their omission from the list, and put their case in writing for a higher seeding or inclusion in the squad.

The appeal should be put in writing, stating relevant performances, and why they believe they should be considered, and faxed to Dr Vince Roche on 02 4868 2688 as well as to Judy Fasher on 02 4576 3589. The appeals will then be considered by the selection sub committee.
